Since purchase in 1985 the car has been maintained regardless of cost by ourselves for all of that 30 years. During which time the car has been constantly used in each and every year and has undergone several engine rebuilds along with a full body off and documented rebuild of the aluminium and steel structure with new sills, chassis outriggers, door skins, rear valance and a new front and assembly.
At Adrian Johnson, we always aim to make the experience of buying or restoring an Aston Martin an enjoyable one. It’s great to hear what our customers think of the services that we provide, and we always appreciate feedback.
Here is what a recent customer had to say about his experience with Adrian Johnson…
“Your first step across the threshold of Adrian Johnson Ltd tells you that you are somewhere different; the facilities and high workshop standards are outstanding and that is before you meet the people! Committing to an extensive restoration or purchasing a 50-year-old Aston requires confidence and trust. Based upon our experience when we took our first step in Aston Martin “Newport Pagnell” era cars ownership, we needed an experienced guide whom we could trust. In Adrian Johnson and his team, we have been in good hands; there is of course much to learn and being clear on your objective and purpose is pretty important. We decided on an “entry level” DB6 but we still wanted the car to be the same standard as a DB4 GT and these are the challenges that Adrian Johnsonexcel at. Go and see for yourself, in the area of classic cars where there are so many pitfalls for the naive, I can recommend you place your trust in Adrian Johnson and I am sure that you will not be disappointed – we have been delighted.”
